Leicester is one of the most colourful and diverse cities in the UK. Within the last 150 years it has grown from being a small insignificant town on the route between London and Nottingham to become a Cathedral City (1923 ?) with a population of nearly 300,000 drawn from all over the world. We are very proud of our traditions of tolerance. We also have a strong tradition of disagreement! Many early non-conformist Christians preached and worshipped in Leicestershire. Being able to disagree without rancour is something we work at. St Philips Centre in Leicester offers opportunities for study and engagement in a multi-faith society. click the link.
