Young Apostles
JACs
These are groups of young
people (aged 3 to 15+ years) that meet in the Church Hall on a Sunday morning
alongside the main service. Their activities include worship, praise and Bible
study. These activities are linked with the theme of the service in church. The
children join the congregation appropriate points in the service. A small group
of older JAC's have recently started an evening Bible study.
44th Leicester Holy
Apostles' Cubs
Meeting each week, there
is an average attendance of 18 boys. The main focus is on activities centred
around 'activity badges'. The cubs are involved in many district scouting events
during the year. The leaders are members of Holy Apostles' Church.
1st Westleigh Brownie
Guide Unit
An average of 18 girls
meet each week in the church hall under the leadership of 3 Guiders who are all
active members of a church. The brownies enjoy a wide and varied programme of
activities. They are encouraged to participate in church activities.
53rd Leicester Holy
Apostles' Guide Unit
This is a small lively
group of 11 to 14 year old girls, meeting weekly following the guide programme
of challenges and fun.
Other Youth Activities
Although not directly
connected with Holy Apostles' there are two regular groups that use the Church
Hall, namely 'Tiny Tots' and 'Karate'.
