Finding the Church
Holy Apostles' is a large church situated on the corner of Imperial Avenue and Fosse Road South in Leicester. It stands about one mile west of the city centre, travelling either along Fosse Road South or Narborough Road towards the M1 Junction 21.
If
travelling from the M1 J21, take the main road into the city centre for
about one mile and turn left into Imperial Avenue at the end of the dual
carriageway. Imperial Avenue runs from Narborough Road, across Fosse
Road South and down to the inner ring road Fullhurst Avenue.
The Vicarage is at 281 Fosse Road South, Leicester LE3 1AE and is exactly opposite the church.
The Church
The present Church was built in 1923. However
there has been a place of worship on this site since 1904. Holy Apostles'
Church has a large open nave and can hold up to 400 people. There is a
large carpeted area (photo)
behind the pews. The Baptistry, where the original font stands, has four
stained glass windows (photo)
that are a fine example of the William Morris School. The large Chancel
is overlooked by three stained glass windows above the altar.

The Church Hall
The
hall was built in 1968. It has one large room, with a stage, and two smaller
rooms. Large hall - this can hold up to 100 people comfortably and is ideal for meetings or social gatherings.
Lounge - has more comfortable seating and can accommodate up to 20 people.
Small hall - this can hold up to 40 people.
There are ladies and gents toilets plus a toilet for the disabled.
Kitchen - has two gas cookers, a hot cabinet. Hot water and the usual fittings.

Car Park
There is a large car park (photo) on the site with access on Sweetbriar Road, behind the church.
This, along with the central location and easy access, make Holy Apostles' church or hall an ideal venue for special services, meetings, conferences, training days or social events.
